It took us four years to find the right property and take up our dream of living in France and running a small and homely bed and breakfast. After so many bad experiences of poor quality accommodation or total lack of it I guess we had quite a list of ‘needs’ when it came to the location and the house itself.  We think you will like it here and would very much like you to enjoy a warm and comfortable and welcome stay with us.

Le Prieure (The Priory) is a totally renovated property some parts dating back to the 18th century, set in 2 acres of grounds it is built of the honey-coloured stone you often find in the Lot, South West France. All guest accommodation, though part of the same house, is independent with your own entrance if required. All rooms have their own bathroom, shower and w.c and are finished to a high standard with your comfort in mind There is a guest lounge at your disposal where you may wish to relax or maybe you would like to dine or take in the views and sunshine by the side of the pool or one of the many sitting areas or terraces the choice is yours! (if you are lucky you may even see the deer come down from the woods to drink). There is ample off road secure parking at the property. And garaged secure parking for touring motorcycles/cyclists.

Le Prieure is situated five minutes walk from the pretty village of Saint Germain Du Bel Air. which has all amenenities e.g. Bakers, Butcher, Internet; Post Office, banking facilities, café restaurant, chemist, tennis courts, open air pool  etc, so if you do not want to go too far, the welcoming French culture is right on your doorstep!!

We are just 20 minutes from the main A20 Auto route and ideally placed for a touring break and/or visiting all the main attractions of the Region including the Dordogne, Domme. Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Vitrac, Lascaux, Rocamadour, Sarlat, Chateau Fenelon, Cahors etc.

Meals may be served in the summer Kitchen, dining room or terrace
